Meet Michele M. Ferdinand:
Michele M. Ferdinand, music director & pianist, has been involved in music since age three. She has played many theatrical productions, including favorites such as Falsettos, The Jingle Man, Fantasticks, My Way, Ragtime, Closer than Ever, Stephen Sondheim's Assassins, Company, Side by Side, Into The Woods, and A Little Night Music, Yeston's Phantom, Gershwin's Crazy for You, and a two-piano version of Frank Loesser’s The Most Happy Fella. She has also music-directed many productions at theatres and schools, including over eighty shows during a five-year tenure at Bucks County Playhouse.
Accompanying is her first love, and Michele has played for singers and instrumentalists in the quad-state area with theatres such as City Theater Company, Bristol Riverside, Walnut Street, Prince Music Theatre, Media Theatre, Philadelphia Area Repertory Theatre, Three Little Bakers, New Candlelight Theater, and Young People’s Theater Workshop. She also plays for, sings in, and music directs cabarets, featuring a series with Michael Moeller in Bucks County. Michele has also spent time onstage in Chess, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, The Importance of Being Earnest, Follies, Into the Woods, Pippin, & The Most Happy Fella.
Over the last few years, she's enjoyed teaching voice & piano at the Media Music Studio where she’s also recorded tracks on several CDs; most recently Do You Hear What I Hear, a holiday album of MMS students created exclusively to benefit The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
Michele is choir director/pianist/organist for St. John’s Tinicum Lutheran Church. She dedicates this site to all casts and crews, her dear Musketeers, her dad, and her black cat Macbeth (shhh...in the theatre, her name is “Scottish”), all of whom are magical!
